Residential services →Design, assessment, and review of buildings, foundations, and bridges — sealed by licensed Professional Engineers and prepared to the Ontario Building Code 2024 and current CSA standards.
Our structural team acts as Engineer of Record on new buildings and renovations across the residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial sectors. We design in steel, concrete, wood, and masonry to CSA S16, A23.3, O86, and S304, with loads derived per OBC 2024 / NBC 2020.
We start with your drawings or a site visit, confirm scope and fee in a written proposal, and deliver sealed drawings or a report suited to your building department's requirements. Where the OBC requires general review during construction, we carry that through to occupancy.
Building departments in Ontario commonly request a sealed structural report when you alter load-bearing elements, legalize existing construction, or when a building shows signs of distress such as cracking or settlement. Lenders and insurers may also require one before closing. We inspect, assess against the Ontario Building Code, and issue a sealed report you can submit directly.

Yes. Where the Ontario Building Code requires general review by the designer, we perform site visits at key stages and issue field review reports to the building department.
We are based in Brockville and regularly work in Ottawa, Kingston, Cornwall, Smiths Falls, Perth, and throughout Leeds & Grenville and Eastern Ontario.
